Meet Keri Elliott

Keri Elliott is a Licensed Paralegal at Dostal Law, where she plays a key role in supporting counsel with the firm’s criminal law matters. Guided by compassion and understanding, Keri brings a strong commitment to justice to every case she touches, especially when advocating for individuals facing systemic barriers or vulnerable circumstances.

With extensive experience appearing as an Agent in the Ontario Court of Justice, Keri has developed a strong courtroom presence and a clear, confident advocacy style. She has a particular interest in Human Rights and identifying and drafting Charter applications on behalf of clients whose fundamental rights have been violated, bringing a keen legal eye and meticulous attention to detail to this critical area of law.

In addition to her work in criminal defence, Keri also maintains a practice in Provincial Offences. These cases often include traffic violations (such as accidents, speeding, careless driving, or driving without insurance), regulatory offences under workplace safety laws, liquor licence violations, bylaw infractions, environmental offences, and other compliance-related matters. Keri is a licensed Notary Public and Commissioner of Oaths, authorized to witness signatures, administer oaths and affirmations, and certify copies of documents. These services are commonly required for affidavits, statutory declarations, sworn statements, and other legal documents to ensure they are properly executed and legally recognized. Her versatile skill set and deep understanding of legal procedure allow her to provide thorough, client-focused support across multiple legal forums.

Since graduating with distinction from an Accelerated Paralegal program in 2022, Keri has continued to advance her legal knowledge while remaining grounded in her core values of fairness, dignity, compassion, and access to justice. Keri began her legal career at a large multi-service firm in Brantford before joining Dostal Law in 2024. Raised near CFB Borden but proudly calling Haldimand County home with her family, she brings both professionalism and empathy to her practice.

Keri is a proud member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Brant Law Association, the Ontario Paralegal Association, and Women in Canadian Criminal Defence (WiCCD), contributing her voice and advocacy to the development of the local legal community.
